About Current Body
CurrentBody’s story began in 2009 when Laurence Newman and Andrew Showman met. Laurence, with a background in medical devices, and Andrew, with vast experience in ecommerce, were the perfect team to create the premier online destination for home use health and beauty technology.
At the time of the company’s founding, technology for health and wellbeing was mostly seen in physio rooms and the homes of elite athletes. The concept of a website geared solely towards these products was entirely new. As a pioneer in the space, CurrentBody has over time become the go-to website for this new niche, and has partnered with some of the biggest names in beauty. Today, CurrentBody continues its global expansion, all while focusing on maintaining an excellent online customer experience.
CurrentBody’s ongoing mission is to offer the largest selection of safe, clinically proven electrical health and beauty products in the world, supported by a team with exceptional product knowledge who provide excellent customer care.
As CurrentBody expanded, they grew from 1 main ecommerce website to 10 localised Shopify Plus sites in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Australia & America in 2018 - followed by Denmark, Sweden & the Netherlands in 2019.
